Giving instructions is nice. It helps people.

Giving some instructions is still nice. It still helps people.

BUT omitting to give one very USEFUL piece of information on a set of instructions is down right WRONG!

It wastes people's time, deprive them of sleep, makes them grumpy etc.

That's my second pet peeve...due to lack of sleep and being grumpy etc.
