Mystery detective series set in the 1940s.

Ellery Queen is a pseudonym of two American cousins from Brooklyn, New York who wrote, edited and anthologised detective fiction. Their main character, funnily enough, is also named Ellery Queen, who is a (surprise!) mystery writer and amateur detective who helps his father, Richard Queen, a police inspector of the New York City Police, to solve murders.
