The other reason I am writing this, in addition to sharing with others of the good (or bad) restaurants I’ve visited, is to remind me of what I had so that I can order (or NOT order) the food again next time.
I am not paid to write for the restaurants so I can only sample the dishes via multiple visits. The photos will therefore change over time as I take better pictures and try new dishes.
Hope you enjoy them.

Sydney's suburb of Leichhardt is known to be "Little Italy".
Therefor if you want authentic Italian food, you are supposed to go to Leichhardt.
Top Ryde, on the other hand, is NOT known for food.
And here lies the gem: Bar Angolo.
Bar Angolo, meaning the "corner cafe", is literally at a corner of the Top Ryde Shopping Centre's Restaurants and Dining section.
All the wait staff speaks English with an Italian accents and so far I have not found any non-Italian staff, giving it that extra authentic Italian flavour to it...right down to the plastic table cloths.
The food is, in my humble opinion, classic Italian... fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious.
I'll let the pictures do the talking:
Bar Angolo Speciale Pizza
Fisherman Basket
Chicken Parmigiana
Rocket, Pear, Caramelised Walnuts and Parmesan
Spaghetti Pescatore (their signature dish - MUST ORDER!)
Lasagna Bolognese
Veal Scallopini - one of the specials of the day. The veal pieces are covered by a bed of mashed potato shaped like a pizza.
Risotto Mixed Mushrooms with Chicken.
The boring stuff:
This is a busy restaurant with friendly staff.
The staff we've encountered so far don't need to write down your order.
They remember them by heart - and got them right!
I love that in a restaurant.
Parking is not a problem at all, being in a shopping centre.
Buses stop there but closest train station is 5 minutes drive away.
Bar Angolo - quite possibly the best Italian restaurant in Top Ryde. https://t.co/4xKikcwu14#ilovesydney #foodie #foodporn #italianfood #Sydney #eatingout pic.twitter.com/3ahS9DfQXb
