The other reason I am writing this, in addition to sharing with others of the good (or bad) restaurants I’ve visited, is to remind me of what I had so that I can order (or NOT order) the food again next time.
I am not paid to write for the restaurants so I can only sample the dishes via multiple visits. The photos will therefore change over time as I take better pictures and try new dishes.
Hope you enjoy them.

There are getting more and more Malaysian restaurants around in Sydney. Some good, some not so good. Chef Rasa Sayang has been consistent throughout the years we've been there. Some of the food are very authentic while some maybe not that authentic but then, I'm from Singapore and there are subtle differences.
Nonetheless, I've always enjoyed visiting Chef Rasa Sayang. In fact, there's a Singaporean restaurant nearby and after 2 visits we decided not to go back (food not good) and choose to walk a bit further to come here.
Fruit Rojak (啰杂):
"Rojak" means "mixed" and this is basically a mixed fruit salad but with the added shrimp paste it's not just any fruit salad! You have to try it.
Now have some fun with Chee Cheong Fun (Sweet Sauce) (猪肠粉 - 甜酱):
This is made of flour, spread thin and then rolled up. You've had them at Yum Cha before. Add the sweet sauce and it makes you feel like you're back in Malaysia.
Chef Rasa Sayang Wat Tan Hor YinYang (滑蛋河鸳鸯):
"YinYang" in food means "two types", which in this case means two types of noodles: the flat white rice noodles and the thin yellow noodles.
With the egg sauce, this makes a very tasty "home" food.
Pan Fried Raddish Cake (炒萝卜糕):
Nice turnip cake pan fried and smelling wonderful.
Char Kway Teow (炒粿條):
Chef Rasa Sayang Wat Tan Hor (滑蛋河):
Like the YinYang above but with the standard flat white rice noodles.
Yong To Fu Pot (釀豆腐煲):
"Yong To Fu"s are basically stuffed tofus (usually fish paste) and in the hot pot makes a very nice cold winter evening's dinner very warm and comfy!
Belacan Kangkung (馬來盞通菜):
Loh Mee (鹵麵):
Add some vinegar to this and it's yummy!
Pan Mee (板麺):
The noodles are al dente - a bit different to the usual Chinese noodles but nice.
The boring stuff:
There's on street parking and if not, there's always Chatswood Chase parking.
From Chatswood Station, just walk straight down Victoria Ave for about 5-10 minutes and you're there.
Can get busy but if you call ahead to make a reservation, they are usually very accommodating.
