The other reason I am writing this, in addition to sharing with others of the good (or bad) restaurants I’ve visited, is to remind me of what I had so that I can order (or NOT order) the food again next time.
I am not paid to write for the restaurants so I can only sample the dishes via multiple visits. The photos will therefore change over time as I take better pictures and try new dishes.
Hope you enjoy them.

I've heard many good things about this restaurant. I've driven quite a number of my Uber riders to this restaurant.
There are many restaurants which, most will say it's good but some will say "hmmm...so-so...I didn't like...".
The Apollo is the only restaurant, so far, that EVERYBODY I've spoken to, said it's an excellent restaurant.
I finally got to try it out last night. I chose a Sunday night, thinking that being the quiet season (after Christmas / New Year) and a Sunday, it should be quiet and we shouldn't have a problem getting a table.
Wrong! We had to be put on a waitlist and were told that the wait will be about 45 minutes.
Luckily, we didn't have to wait that long so we got a table in about 20 minutes - albeit a smaller table but hey, better than nothing.
Very friendly staff, Paul, came and explained everything and providing help and advice.
A few more tables became empty and we asked Paul if we need a bigger table, given what we were able to order.
He made some enquiries and the next thing we know, we had a much bigger table!
These are what we ordered:
Taramasalata Mullet Roe Dip:
This was the entree, came with pita bread.
The other entree was Saganaki Cheese Honey Oregano:
Then came a pasta dish - Kritharaki Pasta Braised Oxtail Tomato Skordalia:
This is quite unusual dish. It's what seemingly a risotto type pasta in cheese covered with breadcrumbs and baked.
When you mixed them all up, you get some crunchy bits and some gooey melted cheese and some soft rice.
The flavour was just nice - not too salty but not bland. That was the surprise dish for us. Yum!
This is the side dish we ordered to go with the main course - Village Salad Cucumber Tomato Feta Olives:
For mains, we ordered:
Dry Aged Pork Chop Rosemary Garlic:
One more piece of bone and the rest was all meat. The pork was so tender. Ahh...I can just remember the taste as I'm writing now.
And, this is, I believe, their signature dish - Oven Baked Lamb Shoulder Lemon Greek Yoghurt
Generous half lemon, tasty yoghurt and the lamb meat that you can just pull apart with spoon and fork (that's right, spoon and fork).
The part you see on the photo is a bit too dry, but all the good bits are all near the bottom where they were juicy and tender.
Highly recommend this to everyone visiting this restaurant for the first time!
The boring stuff:
The restaurant is in Potts Point, so street-side parking is hard to find. I managed to find one not long after arriving, but I chose a Sunday. I suspect on a Saturday night, it'll be much harder. However, there are parking stations around and after a hearty meal at The Apollo, makes good exercise walking to get the car.
The restaurant is of a modern, "rustic" design, meaning forget carpet and it's noisy. There's music playing throughout the whole restaurant but luckily, the volume is not too high, but it means everybody has to speak louder and so if you are expecting a quiet, romantic dinner evening, don't come here.
Otherwise, if you are there for good food and a busy, lively atmosphere, you've come to the right place.
Well worth the wait - is this the best Greek restaurant in Sydney? The Apollo Restaurant https://t.co/IcFCtwlDGF#foodies #foodporn pic.twitter.com/IVI0tWoz6A
